President Obama will appear on the Jay Leno Show tonight - a first for any President. Nothing is outrageous about that mere appearance.
What is outrageous is that President Obama and his administration has been spinning the current events of the United States as a "crisis" and a "catastrophe" and then running along to attend lavish White House parties and media events, giving the impressions that they are the princes, and we, the citizens, are the paupers. It's outrageous that the American people have been given little hope about the economic future of the United States while the President publicly fills out his NCAA March Madness brackets. It's outrageous that the footsteps of President Barack Obama do not mirror his rhetoric over the past few months.
If the economy is in dire straits, then I would like to observe my President doing nothing more than attempting to fix the problem - or better yet, removing the hold of government on the economy - not stirring up jokes on a couch with Jay Leno.
