Socialist Alert! All Hands On Deck!

I thought it would take months - maybe years. I thought that President Obama would take his time in implementing the socialist policies he has voted for all his years in elected office. I assumed that he would really attempt to garner the permanent support of many Republicans before running off on his left-wing trails.

I was dead wrong. My worst nightmares came true within two weeks of President Obama's fledgling administration. Since taking office, the President has lifted a ban on federal funds for international abortions, signed an executive order to close Guantanamo Bay, dropped the charges of the accused mastermind behind the U.S.S. Cole terrorist attack in 2000, took over the reigns of the U.S. Census, and fought for the 2009 "spending" package - a package which mirrors socialism at its earliest hour. While Nancy Pelosi dreams about 500 million Americans left without a job, President Obama roams the country and the airwaves, describing an America on the brink of economic extinction - ploys definitely crafted to scare the ill-informed to gravitate towards the Democrats who promise assistance in their misery and unfortunate situations.

In this spending package, President Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Leader Harry Reid have effectively expanded the size of government, commenced Universal Health Care in the United States, and inserted millions upon millions of dollars of earmarks into the bill. New jobs will be created - not for the private sector, but attached to the government. Medicare will now be given heightened guidelines about the individuals who receive funds for vital operations, treatments, etc. In a matter of years, the government will begin to decide who is profitable to keep alive in this country. Special interest groups hit the jackpot again. Taxpayer dollars will be transferred to projects and companies that the government also deems profitable to work with. Another trillion dollars goes on the tab - this time more deviously calculated than President Bush's bailouts last year.

While the government is attempting to squeeze every last ounce of life out of the private sector, Conservatives and all those with common sense cannot stand by and allow this liberal partying to occur without a fight. Republicans are not guaranteed a "Reagan after a Carter," but this must not stop all those in opposition to the party in power to raise their collective voices in disagreement to the policies being enacted. We must work towards setting our country back on the right path. For our children and grandchildrens' sake, and for what is right for this country, we have to fight against those who seek to completely transform the United States of American into an branch of the European Union - or even worse, Russia.

The battle against these Socialist schemes must be won, and God willing, victory will be achieved. However, United States' citizens must rise up now. People across the nation must start diligently contacting their Congressional officials, letting them know about their displeasure with the way America's light and sovereignty are being run into the ground. People must take an active interest in the elections every two years. Anyone who believes in an individual's God-given right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" can no longer stand by and expect that others will take care of the increasing problems we face. Don't believe me? Don't complain in years down the road when you lose everything you've worked for; when most liberties are extinct; when freedom of speech and religion is wiped from society. Many will then wish that they had taken five minutes out of their day to let their voice be heard.

As long as the United States of America still draws its breath from the Constitution, I believe there is still hope left for our great nation. The duration of that breath may be left up to the citizens of the United States.
