My Political Predictions (Up to 2016)

With liberals in hot pursuit of their Socialist agenda, I have been eagerly awaiting the day when Americans return to the polls, and hopefully end the fantasy world that the Democrats have been living in for the past month – a dream world which, I believe, they will continue operating in until they are yanked out of office. With that being said, here are my predictions for the upcoming elections:

- In 2010, the Republicans will cut their deficit in both the House and Senate by significant margins – yet not enough to take over Congressional power. However, state legislatures will see increasing Republican numbers.
- In 2012, President Obama will be re-elected to office, but the GOP will definitely assume command of Congress based on the Congressional races this cycle.
- In 2014, the Republicans will see slight increases in their majorities.
- In 2016, Republicans will remain in control of Congress and gain the White House (Governors Sarah Palin or Bobby Jindal perhaps?)

My theory behind these schemes is supported by two points: Barack Obama still has the charm to put blinders over many United States’ citizens. However, his political capital will erode because of the far-left policies he intends to pursue. While the majority of the American people will vote for Obama, they will soon come to realize that an opposition party is needed to provide a check to him throughout his final four year in office. My predictions are enlightened by what has occurred in Arizona this decade. Former-Governor Janet Napolitano had such a high approval rating for her 1.5 terms in office, yet Arizona voters never equipped her with a Democratic-dominated legislature. Also, I think the United States is in a trend where the incumbent President will rarely be removed by the voters. We’ll find out what happens, starting two years from now.
